Challenges............

• Encourage others in your local community or networks (parents groups, schools, colleges etc) to benefit from the Deafchild International project

• Support teachers of the Deaf worldwide who are concerned that their pupils may miss out on technology that helps develop their communication and literacy skills

• Use international Deaf Role Models to inspire deaf children to read & write

• Identify deaf teachers of the deaf, who can encourage the use of worldwide communication for deaf & hearing children

• Consider the direct impact on a deaf person's ability to gain greater access to education and employment, and therefore, a quality of life

• Disseminate information about the Deafchild International project

• Practice 'Good Communication' & overcome barriers caused by deafness.

• Use technology to assist deaf children with their communication

• Realise the value of using ICT in the classroom

• As a deaf person use ICT to improve the quality of life & share experiences with others
