Matt Tomczek's Briegel
1/35 Briegel This fantastic kit was my first purchase from friend, and fellow modeler/sculptor Luca Z. It was also only my second foray into resin mecha, with the first being a 1/100 Mark-V Gundam a year or 2 prior. The Briegel is an original creation from Luca, and honestly was worth every penny spent on it. The kit is super detailed, well designed, and was a blast to build. The original idea when this was first compelted was to build a dio/base for it that featured a snow battle scene with several 1/35 figures and equipment. The idea was scrapped, but I may revisit it some day. The kit was originally completed back in May of 2007, however I finally now just took decent photos of the kit. Paint is all Tamiya acrylics. The gun was kit-bashed/scratch built from various odds and ends I had laying around. I decided to do an over-under flame thrower/chain gun similar to the scene in Aliens.
